Michael R. Day, of Brewster, Massachusetts passed away and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 20th at Pleasant Bay Nursing Home. He was surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Born in Staten Island, New York in 1935, the youngest child of Thomas and Helen Day, he was raised in Miami, Florida. He graduated from University of Miami in 1958. Immediately following graduation, Michael received a commission into the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant.

Michael R. Day, of Brewster, Massachusetts passed away and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 20th at Pleasant Bay Nursing Home. He was surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Born in Staten Island, New York in 1935, the youngest child of Thomas and Helen Day, he was raised in Miami, Florida. He graduated from University of Miami in 1958. Immediately following graduation, Michael received a commission into the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant.
Serving in various roles, Michael worked for Hoffman La Roche, retiring in 1995 with 25 years of service. Michael was an avid sailor, lover of history, and an enthusiastic fan of both The Boston Red Sox and The New England Patriots.
Michael is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judith (Davies) Day, their two daughters, Leslie (Day) Soria and Kathleen (Day) Brady, his sons-in-law, Christopher Soria and Scott Brady and his three grandchildren, Emily, Timothy, and Tariku. In addition, Michael is survived by his sister, June Day.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, December 2nd from 10am - 12pm at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA 02653, with a short service beginning at noon in the funeral home. Burial services will follow at 2:15 at the National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3rd at 11am at Cape Cod Bible Alliance Church, 3600 Main Street Brewster, MA 02631
