Elisabeth "Betty" Linnell, 99, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 31, 2015, at Pleasant Bay Nursing Home, in Brewster. Betty was born on October 23, 2015 in Haverill, MA to Arthur and Dora (Terrien) Prescott.
After graduating from Wakefield High School in 1933, Betty married Charles Linnell. Betty worked at the Sea Camps in Brewster over 37 years. A believer in community service, Betty was active in The Girl Scouts, volunteered for the Red Cross and helped at the town of Brewster polls during elections.

Betty was a member of the Brewster Baptist Church.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Charles, and granddaughter, Bette Marie, she is survived by her two children: Robert C. Linnell of Brewster, and Margaret "Peggy" McCray of Orleans,6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Brewster Baptist Church on Saturday
April 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Burial is private.
