Audrey Noak Savin passed peacefully on January 16, 2015 at Broad Reach of Chatham. Audrey was born in Bronx, NY on February 15, 1923 to Mary (Lascelles) and Charles H. Noak. She grew up in Baldwin, NY, where she graduated from Baldwin High School. Audrey was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Edward J. (Bud) Savin. Audrey and her family moved from Massapequa, NY to Eastham, MA in 1957. She was a homemaker taking care of her two sons, Bruce and Brian. Audrey Noak Savin passed peacefully on January 16, 2015 at Broad Reach of Chatham. Audrey was born in Bronx, NY on February 15, 1923 to Mary (Lascelles) and Charles H. Noak. She grew up in Baldwin, NY, where she graduated from Baldwin High School. Audrey was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Edward J. (Bud) Savin. Audrey and her family moved from Massapequa, NY to Eastham, MA in 1957. She was a homemaker taking care of her two sons, Bruce and Brian. In January 1958, Audrey went to work as the head dietician of the Eastham Elementary School, where she worked until 1966. Audrey and Edward ran the lunch counter at the former Orleans Pharmacy until April 1968, when she took the position as school lunch manager for the Chatham School system. Audrey retired from the Chatham school system in 1984. She and her husband twice traveled to England to visit her relatives. They also traveled in their travel trailer visiting many points in the Eastern United States.
Audrey loved to garden and she was an avid swimmer and beach goer. She was most proud of her swimming in the Jones Beach Water Ballet in the late 1930's when her picture was published in a 1939 issue of National Geographic.
Audrey leaves behind her sons, Bruce Savin and his wife, Joan of Sanford, ME, and Brian Savin and his wife, Gloria of Harwich, MA; a daughter-in-law Wilma Savin of Eastham; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Patrick and Keith Savin and two great-grandchildren, Merrick and Hannah Savin.

A graveside service is planned for Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 10AM at The Evergreen Cemetery in Eastham, MA.
